De-humidifiers explained

There are 2 different methods of dehumidification:

1) Refrigeration based
dehumidifiers do so by creating a cold surface onto
which excess moisture condenses out.

2) Adsorption / Dessicant
dehumidifiers use hygroscopic media to adsorb moisture.

Both types add heat to the air they are drying. The
net heat gain is approximately equal to the electrical
consumption of the dehumidifier.

Refrigeration dehumidifiers are used to control humidity
down to 40% Rh and at temperatures down to 3 degrees
Celcius.

Adsorbtion dehumidifiers can control humidity levels
below 40% and are ideal for low temperature environments.
In addition to our free dehumidifier selection and application
service for dehumidification, we can also offer installation
& commissioning services using our in-house engineers.
